Shawn Romig authored the chapter about Viper’s racing history. As the owner of a 2008 Viper ACR Hardcore, Romig frequently tracks his Viper and developed a passion for all details surrounding Viper’s racing history. He grew up in a Mopar family and got hooked on Vipers when he received a poster of one in elementary school. In high school, Romig began drag racing, and then moved on to autocrossing and eventually track days and time attack events. The story of “The Ramchargers” motivated him to obtain his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University. He now provides in-service support engineering for Navy/Marine Corps Aircraft Ground Handling Equipment.
